About Me
- D.J.G
- Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
- I'm an Architecture Student at Glasgow School of Art. I'm probably more interested in trawling charity shops for cameras to take pictures of buildings than actually designing them.

ALL ALONE
As I'm wondering what the point of posting on this is anymore considering I get about 1 hit a week I've set up a tumblr because you get more hits apparently (so a little bird told me)... find me here - I'm a sucker for attention.

Goodbyes
June was a month of many sad goodbyes - inanimate and human. My first pentax espio 140m; Glasgow School of Art's Newbury Tower, Foulis Building and good ol' Vic Student union (expect multiple posts over the coming months of their demolition and then the construction of Stephen Holl's WUNDER WERK in their place.
I also lost - I say lost, no one died - a good friend who returns to Paris after a year on exchange here at GSA, several exchange students actually have left.... anyway blabber blabber who cares, I'm going to Paris next month anyway so it was hardly goodbye.
Here's some pictures of all the above. Again mostly if not all taken with either Pentax Espio 80 or 140m compact cameras from charity shops.
Goodbye Newbury Tower, Shona and I will miss you even if no one else will.
Goodbye Ingrid and the Vic. I look slightly mad but never mind.

'Vintage' 90s 35 mm compacts
I seem to have passed through a phase in my life where i had a strong urge to buy as many cheap second hand 35 mm compact cameras from the 1990s as I could find - in particular members of the Pentax Espio range. 3 were purchased at various outlets for a combined price of slightly less than 10 pounds. Quite pleased with some of the shots and quality of the pictures - higher than I was expecting, special praise must be given to the Espio 140m I took to Barcelona for the Prima Vera festival. Good camera that died a slow and painful death due to an opened bottle of water stupidly being placed in the same tote bag it was in by some moron.... me....
Melons in a Market
Let it be noted that this fad for compacts has now moved on to vintage 50s ad 60s rangefinders. I'm waiting on the test results for an Agfa Silette as I type
